Bathroom Tiling
Where do we actually begin with this debackle. So bearing in mind this is a wet room so with that in mind you know things have to line up properly so did they? Not a bloody chance probably the worst tiling job I have ever seen. no quarter fillet around the window, or the boxed in area around the stench pipe. Nothing lined up arround the room and the tiled were not placed evenly on the wall. you could actually stub your finger when you ran it between tiles with in some cases a 3mm discepancy. Poorly grouted. Northdown propertyy services charged me £980 for the pleasure of putting my own tiles on (they were large rectangular tiles) they cost £240 and then the rest of the money was because they said that it was more difficuly to tile in large tiles rather than 3" white tiles. originally they wantes £1240 for this part of the job. bearing in mind they already had the cost of tiling the wetroom in 3" white tiles and this was an extra add on. EVERY single tradesman who I have spoken to about tiling a bathroom using large rectangular tiles v 3" tiles have said Tiling with LARGE tiles is not only easier to keep the line but is it up to 5 times faster to do so. Alisdair from NORTHDOWN took from me an extra £980 because he said For The Exra Difficulty" absolute disgrace is what all the other tradesmen have said (except in much stronger terms!!!!
